The hotel was fantastic with great history and some quirky thoughtful features. The staff were excellent, always ready to assist, even at odd hours like 3.30 am when they brought refreshments to our room. The overall experience was lovely, extremely well-equipped, pleasant, and comfortable.

The location was great, just off the main square and near a multi-story parking which was surprisingly inexpensive. The hotel's position between Houndgate and the Raithwaite Estate offered a fabulous setting, providing convenience and access to restaurants and bars.

I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of this place before now! The location is superb, just off the Main Street in the heart of Darlington, a charming town with ready access to the dales, moors, York, Durham, and more. The rooms were cold but spacious; I wish they had tea/coffee making facilities. The service, except for a young guy who was extremely polite and helpful, was friendly, efficient, and very professional. The dining experience was above most other hotel breakfasts, with a large choice of delicious dishes. The hotel is a great base for exploring the area, and the value for money is great.

I couldn't believe I hadn't heard of this place before now! The hotel is located in the heart of Darlington, a charming townhouse that offers a beautiful and convenient stay. The service was exceptional, looking after us superbly on our special occasion. The dining experience was outstanding, with a delicious breakfast that went above and beyond. The only slight downside was the extractor fan noise in the room, which could be disturbing, especially early in the morning.
